The Kingsport Times News, a Tennessee newspaper is cutting costs and improving its paper at the same time. It recently has become Prolmage's newest customer by buying the company's ink-saving solution, which is cheaper than normal ink and increases the color quality of the pages.
The service, which is named "OnColor ECO", does two things at once: It reduces ink consumption and maintains the best possible print quality.
The paper estimates that it will save about $1,100 each month with the new application. Vice President of Operations Tim Archer at The Times says there is a better quality in the pages overall including "crisper images and less rub-off". Times News staff find OnColor ECO to be easy to start up and operate.
