Longtime local sports reporter Steve Behr passes

Those who participated in sports — be it as a coach, athlete or spectator — probably ran into Steve Behr a time or two over the last 20 years.
The longtime local sports reporter was legendary for his coverage of Watauga High School, Appalachian State and everything in between.
He passed away the week of Sept. 5.
